Zhongshan City Transportation Property Development Co., Ltd. yesterday issued the bidding documents for the “Energy Saving Reconstruction Project of LED Street Lights in Downtown Zhongshan City†(Phase I), requiring the winning bidders to dismantle, package, transport and clean up the site. Or the old lamps that are not recyclable are high-risk products, and the winning bidder must collect and tamper-free the old lamps.
According to statistics, there are about 45,000 street lamps that need to be reconstructed in the downtown area. The relevant person in charge of the Housing and Construction Bureau said that after the completion of the renovation of the street lamp, it is estimated that the electricity can be saved by about 24 million kWh a year, which is equivalent to saving about 7,900 tons of standard coal, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 21,000 tons, and reducing smoke and dust emissions by about 1,300 tons.
