East China Institute of Technology Mobile School Visits the 9th China CNC Machine Tool Show

On April 15th, more than 70 lower grade students from the School of Mobile Studies of East China University of Science and Technology, led by the secretary of the Youth League Committee of the College, Wenwen Hui, visited the 9th China CNC Machine Tool Show held at Shanghai New International Expo Center.
The exhibition was sponsored by the China Machine Tool Industry Association. The theme was “New Environment, New Patterns, and New Practices.” The exhibition covered metal cutting machine tools, flexible processing units, automated production lines, and industrial robots. Many well-known companies such as Shanghai Machine Tool Works Co., Ltd., Wuhan Heavy Machine Tool Group Co., Ltd., Mitsubishi Electric Automation (China) Co., Ltd., and Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. have entered in succession. The scale of the exhibition is ambitious. A wide range of high-tech processing equipment and technologies allow students to have a more intuitive experience of modern manufacturing. In particular, the mid-to-high-end intelligent robot combination control technology in the N3 exhibition hall demonstrated the latest technologies and achievements of the global machine tool manufacturing industry, which triggered students' applause. The past textbook knowledge and scientific and technological information were presented in a lively, three-dimensional and shocking manner, allowing students to have full confidence in the "Made in China 2025" manufacturing power strategy.

In the window of the college for the exhibition, the “Numerical Controlled Four-axis Lathes and Related Machining Solutions” of the School of Mobility at East China University of Technology was also demonstrated, demonstrating the strength and achievements of the Institute in machine tool manufacturing and stimulating students’ pride. With a sense of professional identity, they posed for pictures in front of the booth.

As the second class that broadens the horizons of students and stimulates students’ interest in learning, the "moving exhibitions" activities of the mobile college have been continuously carried out for many years. Many younger students said that this was the first time that they had come into close contact with internationally advanced manufacturing technologies. The visit inspired their own motivation for learning and interest in learning.
