Its aqueous solution has good film-forming property, emulsification stability, high transparency, strong adhesion, and good moisture resistance. Its solubility becomes better with the decrease of alcoholysis degree, and the protective colloid property and viscosity decrease with the decrease of polymerization degree. It has typical chemical properties of polyols and can be used for esterification, etherification, acetalization and other reactions.
