Recently, the Hydrocurrent waste heat recovery system jointly developed by Calnetix Technologies and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries was verified and installed for the first time to the "Arnold Maersk" container ship. 
During the trial, the 125 kW system will continue to generate 110-115 kW of electricity for the ship's power grid. At full cooling water flow, the system can generate 125 kW at full capacity.
It is reported that the Hydrocurrent system was first launched in 2014 and has passed the tests of Lloyd's Register of Shipping and Japan Classification Society.
