In the first quarter of this year, China imported a total of 19,953 tons of polysilicon, creating a record high, of which imports of polysilicon in March amounted to 7,657 tons. Specifically, 1,442 tons were from South Korea, 1,749 tons from Germany, and 3,921 tons from the United States. The current domestic prices of imported silicon materials are generally lower than US$25, which is lower than the production cost of domestic enterprises and is an important reason for the record number of imported polysilicon.
