The main business of Sichuan Golden Elephant is to produce and sell fertilizer products such as urea, compound fertilizer, modified agricultural ammonium nitrate, melamine, ammonium nitrate and other chemical products. The annual production capacity of main products of the company and its holding subsidiaries is 550,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 450,000 tons of urea, 1.02 million tons of nitric acid, 1.04 million tons of ammonium nitrate, 1.35 million tons of nitro compound fertilizer and 290 thousand tons of melamine.
Chuanjinxiang has jurisdiction over Xinjiang Jinsheng Huyang Chemical Co., Ltd., Hebei Qiheng Sairu Chemical Co., Ltd., Xinjiang Yuxiang Huyang Chemical Co., Ltd., and Beijing Sujing Science and Technology Co., Ltd. Among them, two companies, Xinjiang Jinsheng Populus and Hebei Hengheng Serui, are mainly engaged in the production and sales of nitro compound fertilizers. Xinjiang Jinsheng Populus with natural gas as raw material, with an annual output of 200,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 300,000 tons of nitric acid, 100,000 tons of ammonium nitrate, 600,000 tons of nitro compound fertilizer. It is planned to invest in the “Nitro-compound-fertilizer re-expansion project†and will increase the production capacity of 600,000 tons of nitro-compound fertilizer as one of the fund-raising projects listed by Sichuan Jinxiang, which is planned to be completed and put into production in 2014. Hebei Qiheng Saili annually produces 150,000 tons of nitric acid, 100,000 tons of ammonium nitrate, 250,000 tons of nitro compound fertilizer and 100,000 tons of concentrated nitric acid. The 150,000 tons of nitric acid production line under construction is expected to start production in mid-2012.
According to reports, Sichuan Jinxiang takes nitro-compound fertilizer and melamine as the focus of corporate development and set up companies in Xinjiang, Hebei, and Jiangsu.
