Recently, Cargotec's MacGregor Company received an order to supply equipment for four LNG powered cruise ships built by the German Meyer Werft shipyard for the cruise ship company Carnival. MacGregor's equipment orders include electric-driven doors and Hatlapa winches for electric variable frequency control. 
It is reported that the four LNG powered mail ships are part of the construction of nine cruise ships by Carnival and Meyer Werft and Fincantieri, and are expected to be delivered between 2019 and 2022. Two of them were built by the Meyer Werft German shipyard for AIDA Cruises and the other two by the Meyer Werft Finnish shipyard for the Costa Cruises.
Each ship has a total tonnage of more than 180,000 tons and has more than 2,600 passenger rooms, providing comfortable accommodation for 6,600 passengers.
