Maxim recently introduced four new digital light sensors with multiple sensors built-in to provide high analog integration. The compact package integrates up to seven sensors that provide reliable and repeatable measurements. The MAX44005/MAX44006/MAX44008 feature the industry's lowest current consumption, only 20? A. Highly integrated features effectively reduce system costs, eliminate multiple external components, and greatly simplify design.
The four sensors are the MAX44004/05/06/08, respectively. The MAX44004 is a low-power ALS sensor with only 5 current losses. A; MAX44006/MAX44008 integrated RGB sensor, ALS sensor, IR sensor and temperature sensor; MAX44005 includes RGB sensor, ALS sensor, IR sensor, IR proximity detection sensor and temperature sensor. The MAX44005/MAX44006/MAX44008 operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C; the MAX44004 operating temperature range is -40°C to +105°C.
The sensors support red/green/blue (RGB) light signal detection, ambient light (ALS) detection, proximity detection, and infrared (IR) signal and temperature measurement. It also has a wide range of applications, including smart phones, tablet computers, portable consumer electronics, display screens, digital light management systems, security systems, and medical devices.

Shell and tube type heat exchangers are the more common form of evaporation units for water cooling and chilling applications.
