In June 2009, seven institutes of the Institute of High-tech Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences carried out research on controllable preparation, properties, and application of graphene, and controlled preparation, theoretical research, and physical property characterization of graphene, as well as in batteries, Applications for flexible displays, terahertz detection, gas sensors, and composite materials have made breakthroughs.
The project has developed a variety of graphene preparation methods to produce high-quality graphene three-dimensional network body material - graphene foam, millimeter grade graphene single crystal, single batch kilogram high quality graphene and on hexagonal boron nitride matrix High-quality graphene was prepared, and a lossless transfer method for graphene was invented. In the application of power lithium-ion batteries, the project team developed a series of high-performance graphene composite electrode materials, achieving a hundred kilograms of pilot production of composite cathode materials. In terms of solar cells, the project team carried out research on the application of graphene as a transparent electrode on CdTe cells. In terms of composite materials, graphene-epoxy resin has been successfully used for insulating material for ship shafts.
