Zhongguancun plans to spend 5 billion yuan to build high-end medical equipment industry park

He also said that the high-end medical device industry park will gather more than 30 more mature medical device companies, and it is expected to achieve an output value of more than 5 billion yuan in the future, which will provide strong support for the development of high-tech manufacturing and strategic emerging industries in southern Zhongguancun.

The Zhongguancun High-end Medical Device Industrial Park is located in the middle of the third phase of Daxing Bio-pharmaceutical Industry Base. The project has a planned land area of ​​191,900 square meters, a total construction area of ​​287,900 square meters and a total investment of approximately RMB 1.46 billion. The industrial park focuses on the high-end medical device industry, integrating R&D, incubation, and production, and focuses on the development of four major industrial functions, including high-end medical device R&D headquarters, new high-end medical device manufacturing, medical device business incubation, and medical device support services. Beijing Zhongxing Xingyi High-end Medical Device Industry Investment Co., Ltd., established on the same day, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhongguancun Development Group and will undertake the planning, construction, and operation services of the industrial park.

According to the “Zhongguancun Strategic Emerging Industrial Clusters Innovation Leading Project (2012-2015)” released on December 21st, the Zhongguancun High-end Medical Device Industrial Park is the first featured industrial base to implement the “leading project” and will further improve the demonstration in Zhongguancun. The distribution of biological and health industry clusters in the district gathers the high-end elements of the key links in the medical device industry chain, and creates domestic and internationally influential industrial bases.
