According to statistics provided by the customs on imports and exports, compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the import and export of components of the driving system in June 2011 are analyzed as follows:
First, the export of parts and components of the driving system
In June 2011, the export value of the components of the driving system products was 1.632 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 31.13% over the same period in 2010. From January to June, the cumulative export value of parts and components of the driving system was US$8.516 billion, an increase of 36.83% over the same period of 2010. From January to June, the major exporting countries of the driving system component products were the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Japan, and the United Kingdom.
Second, the driving system component product imports
In June 2011, the import value of components for the driving system was US$135 million, an increase of 17.65% over the same period in 2010. From January to June, the cumulative import value of components for the driving system was 754 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 28.48% over the same period of 2010. From January to June, the major importing countries of the driving system component products were: Japan, Germany, South Korea, the United States, and Italy.
