The successful manufacturing of the aircraft broke the long-term dependence on the import of ultra-large container marine diesel engines, filling a gap in the field of marine low-speed diesel engine manufacturing in China, breaking foreign monopoly for China National Shipbuilding Corporation and even China's shipbuilding industry, adapting to today's high efficiency. It has contributed to the direction of energy conservation and actively participating in international competition.
It is reported that the first 10S90ME-C9.2 diesel engine that was handed over by CSSC Mitsui is one of the most advanced models in the world, and is classified as a Norwegian Classification Society (DNV). This type of machine is a newly designed electronically controlled intelligent diesel engine from the world famous diesel engine manufacturer Man Diesel Engine and Turbine Company. The single machine power is 58,000 kilowatts (7.9 million horsepower). It is the largest power low speed diesel engine manufactured in China. It is still the first system and will be used for the batch of 10,000 TEU container ships built by the Jiangsu Sisang Company under the Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. of Jiangsu Yangtze River Shipping Group Co., Ltd.
