Hitachi, Mitsubishi "hands" Yongji Electric

Recently, Hitachi, Japan, began to implement the project of transferring AC drive technology to Yongji Motor Factory, marking the official start of the second large-scale technology introduction project of Yongji Electric Machinery Plant. Prior to this, Hitachi's Electric Power Motors Group, China National Technical Import and Export Corporation, and Yongji Electric Motors Factory held a grand signing ceremony in Beijing on the “Contract for the Transfer of Urban Rail Transit Vehicles AC Drive Technology”. On February 2, the Mitsubishi Electric Transportation Division of Japan and the Yongji Electric Plant signed a letter of intent for the cooperation of locomotives and vehicles and electric locomotives in Xi'an High-tech Zone. This will help to shorten the gap between China's railway AC drive technology and foreign advanced technology.
As early as in the 1980s, Yongji Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. introduced the GE electric motor manufacturing technology from the United States to meet the needs of China's four major speed-ups for diesel locomotive motors and electrical products. In order to adapt to the 10-year transition from AC transmission technology to AC transmission technology of China's railways, Yongji Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. has continuously strengthened the exchange and cooperation with foreign advanced enterprises. After 16 months of hard negotiations in 10 months, the plant finally signed a transfer technology transfer contract with Hitachi and jointly won the bidding for the Beijing Metro Line 13 vehicle project. The plant's urban rail products will enter Beijing's urban rail domestic fitting market this year in larger quantities.
